The Writing Center strengthens communication within Macomb County by providing expert advice on the thinking, planning, and writing of academic and professional documents. The center's primary audience is the students and faculty at Macomb Community College. In recognition of the large social contexts that shape writing at the college, the writing center serves as vehicle for bridging the gap between high school writing curricula and college curricula. Thus, the secondary audience is the high school students who seek expert advice on their academic work, but it extends to collaborations with Macomb's high schools.
