Prospectus


The Prospectus

In many ways, the Prospectus is the introduction for your paper. Of course, the paper isn't written yet, so the Prospectus is tentative. The Prospectus lays out your main ideas by responding to the problems and questions noted in the Purpose & Problem Statement. Note the following:

1. The Prospectus offers a preliminary "answer" to the assignment.

2. The Prospectus often uses material from the  often uses material from the TEQ Sheets.

3. The Prospectus almost certainly will change, but it gives you an anchor for developing your claim.

4. The Prospectus states both your claim and information about the kinds of evidence that will make the claim credible.
